Job description Mechanic (m/f/d) for car body maintenance technology

Field of work: Mechanics for body repair technology mainly repair vehicle bodies and body parts. They carry out their work in the trade, in appropriate vehicle repair companies and specialized workshops. There they mainly work in workshops and garages.
They carry out their work independently in accordance with the relevant regulations and safety provisions, following documents and instructions. They often work as part of a team. They coordinate their work with upstream and downstream trades. They plan and control their work processes, monitor and evaluate work results and apply quality management systems. They carry out maintenance and adjustment work. They advise and support customers with regard to the company's products and services, taking ecological and economic aspects into account.

• repair car bodies and superstructures,
• equip or convert vehicles with accessories and additional equipment,
• produce new surfaces and protect them,
• assess damage to vehicles, identify faults, malfunctions and defects and document their cause,
• check and document maintenance and assembly work, taking into account traffic and operational safety for vehicle handover,
• maintain, check and adjust vehicles and systems as well as operating equipment,
• communicate with internal and external customers as appropriate,
• plan and monitor work processes and evaluate work results,
• apply quality assurance measures.
