How it works
Your smartphone apps are transferred to the display of the infotainment system and can therefore be operated conveniently and clearly in your field of vision. This makes it extremely easy to access music, news, maps or audio
books, for example. Volkswagen offers two interfaces for connecting smartphones with numerous options: Apple
CarPlay and Android
Auto from Google. The wireless connection option for the "Discover Media", "Discover Pro" and "Discover Pro Max" navigation systems and for the "Ready 2 Discover" also makes it particularly convenient to use. To avoid
distraction, only certified apps can be started while driving.
Volkswagen AG enables you to use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but the country-specific availability of both technologies is the responsibility of Apple and Google.

Apple CarPlay
With Apple CarPlay, you can control selected apps from
your iPhone while driving. Vehicles prepared for VW Connect and We Connect can also be controlled wirelessly. Operating the apps is as easy as you are used to with your iPhone. Phone, messages,

Android Auto
With Android Auto from Google, you can operate suitable
