The new T-CROSS

The striking exterior design of the SUV has been sharpened. The standard LED headlights and LED tail lights are new. In addition, the interior has been given a new dashboard with refined surfaces and a new generation of infotainment. At the same time, Volkswagen has extended the standard equipment of the T-Cross, which has sold around 1.2 million units in just three years. The most compact Volkswagen SUV is once again characterized by a particularly attractive price-performance ratio.
The new T-Cross is available with three efficient turbocharged petrol engines (TSI). They produce 70 kW (95 PS), 85 kW (115 PS) and 110 kW (150 PS). Four trim levels are available: "T-Cross", "Life" and the two top versions "Style" (elegant) and "R-Line" (sporty). The three colors are new: "Grape Yellow", "Clear Blue Metallic" and "Kings Red Metallic".

Versatile space miracle for family and leisure. The interior of the T-Cross impresses with its sophisticated controls, balanced space for up to five people, the 140 mm sliding rear bench seat and its maximum variable load space. When all seats are occupied, the T-Cross offers a trunk volume of 385 to 455 liters when loaded up to the height of the rear bench seat. If the rear bench seat is folded down (60:40 split), a flat loading area is created with up to 1,281 liters of stowage volume (loaded up to the height of the front seat backrests). In addition, the front passenger seat backrest can be folded as standard from the "Life" equipment line upwards (left-hand drive only). The 2,398 mm long load area, which is then continuous from the rear to the very front, can accommodate everything from a surfboard to a medium-sized ladder.

Increased drawbar load creates more space for transporting e-bikes. Volkswagen has significantly increased the drawbar load of the T-Cross: it has risen from 55 to 75 kg. The 20 kg increase raises the maximum weight that can be applied to the detachable trailer coupling (optional) from above. This means that the new T-Cross offers more reserves when towing a heavy trailer. At the same time, the maximum permissible weight of bicycles traveling with a carrier via the trailer coupling is also increased - and this is particularly important for transporting e-bikes.

"Travel Assist" offers a significant increase in comfort
The T-Cross is one of the few vehicles in this class worldwide to be optionally equipped with "Travel Assist". The assistance system offers assisted longitudinal and lateral guidance. Depending on the traffic ahead and the permitted speed, the T-Cross can regulate its speed by automatically accelerating and braking. Travel Assist can also incorporate speed limits, bends and traffic circles into the control system within the system limits. At the same time, the Volkswagen can keep in lane via Lane Assist. If the new T-Cross is equipped with DSG, it can also complete stop-and-go journeys automatically.

The T-Cross equipment variants:
Even the significantly upgraded "T-Cross" basic version is now equipped with new features such as LED headlights (instead of halogen), LED tail lights, traffic sign recognition, a "Digital Cockpit" with a diameter of 20.3 cm (8.0 inches), a now free-standing, seeming infotainment display (also 20.3 cm in diameter), USB-C interfaces and the "Park Assist" parking aid (front and rear). The basic model in the range is powered by a 70 kW TSI engine.
The "Life" version ranks above it. The new additional equipment details include 16-inch "Nottingham" alloy wheels, projection lights in the exterior mirror housings and smartphone app integration via Mirror Link. The 70 kW TSI also provides propulsion in the T-Cross Life as standard. Base price of this version in Germany: 25,150 euros.
The top versions "Style" and "R-Line " now have the "IQ.LIGHT - LED matrix headlights" ("R-Line": standard only in Germany) with cornering and all-weather light on board as standard for the first time in the T-Cross. The new light functions also include an animated welcome and goodbye scenario. In addition, both top models feature new 17-inch alloy wheels in a specific design ("Manila" for "Style", "Valencia" for "R-Line"), exterior ambient lighting and LED tail lights with animated flashing and braking function as standard. The new T-Cross Style focuses more on elegance, while the T-Cross R-Line emphasizes the sporty character with its "R" design bumpers.
