Longer, wider, wider and outstanding payload
To ensure your success, the new Transporter has improved in almost all areas compared to its predecessor: Experience increased comfort in the cab, 61 mm more load compartment length as standard - and if that's not enough, for the first time even over 3 m load compartment length in the optional long wheelbase version. You can also benefit from significantly more width, for example with an additional 148 mm between the wheel arches.
The larger dimensions benefit the interior, which not only offers you more space for your cargo, but can also provide you and your team with an even more comfortable driving experience in busy everyday life.All this growth means a much larger load volume - but the new Transporter has also stepped up a gear in terms of payload and towing capacity. From up to 5.8m3 in the normal wheelbase and normal roof version to a maximum of 9m3 in the high roof version with long wheelbase - the new Transporter offers more storage space than ever before. While the payload increases from 1.2 to up to 1.33 t, the maximum dynamic roof load increases from 150 to 170 kg.
And let's not forget the towing capacity: it increases from 2.5 to an impressive 2.8 tons.
