Job description Automotive salesperson (m/f/d)

Field of work: Automotive salespeople work in car dealerships, for car manufacturers and car importers. They are involved in the following areas of work: Planning, procurement, distribution, sales of new and used vehicles, customer service. Automotive salespeople observe the market and prepare the information obtained for marketing decisions. They offer all services relating to motor vehicles and are particularly involved in preparing, offering and brokering financing, leasing, fleet management, insurance and warranty contracts. Automotive salespeople work in a customer-oriented manner and help to ensure that operations run smoothly.

Professional skills: Automotive salespersons

  • apply the product knowledge they have acquired in technical practice in a customer-oriented manner,
  • assess sales opportunities and observe the behavior of customers and competitors on the market,
  • plan and implement marketing measures,
  • apply information and communication systems of the automotive industry,
  • obtain quotations, compare conditions and purchase goods,
  • monitor incoming goods and check invoices and delivery documents,
  • stock vehicles, parts and accessories, apply inventory management concepts,
  • calculate sales and workshop prices,
  • participate in the sale of vehicles,
  • prepare and broker financing, leasing, fleet management, insurance and warranty contracts,
  • sell parts and accessories,
  • plan and conduct purchasing, consulting and sales talks,
